DJG Biography

Catching the final eleven and a half months of the 1970s, DJG materialized out of the last great snow blizzard to farmers in north central Missouri, USA. DJG’s earliest input of what is now understood as design and culture trappings include: farming logos, sports team mascots, comic books and the apple on records by The Beatles.

DJG does art within and on the side of laboring in janitorial, grounds keeping, mental health and data entry. Combining the present day-to-day of where the heart makes it with the gut to that of farm life, handmade delights and the expanse of pop and art culture, DJG has been casually known to make more in a year than some fully staffed and full-time making things institutions.

DJG is honored and fortunate to be awarded prizes, recognition, publication and exhibition in the visual arts, graphic design, typography, writing, filmmaking and photography. DJG also practices wondering, reading, snow sculpting, laughing, sidewalk scalping, hunting, collecting, rummaging, traveling, kitty snuggling, eating, music listening and movie watching. DJG currently makes a life in Kansas City, MO, USA with a wife and a handful of kitty cats, but wouldn’t mind living on a farm again down the road.
